ASM events & Q School 2015

NEWS from the Asian Senior Tour -



The AST’s first event for the year will be the Asian Senior Masters Straits Cup 2015 Pro-Am to be staged in Singapore on Thu 5 March 2015 at the SICC after which we relocate to Johor to spend the night at Berjaya Water Front (formally the ZON Hotel) and then transfer to Batam by ferry on Fri 6 March morning.

The ASM @ Indonesia (Batam) 2015 @ Tering Bay GCC will be staged from Fri 6 to Tue 10 March and will incorporate the AST Players Championship 2014 and the 2015 US Champions Tour Qualifier event for the Insperity Invitational 2015, which will determin which of our leading senior professional golfers will represent the AST in the USA as he competes in a Champion’s Tour event alongside the world’s leading senior professional golfers such as defending Champion Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie.

The US Champions Tour has once again honored us by inviting the AST to send our leading senior professional golfer to participate in the US$ 2,000,000 purse – 2015 Insperity Invitational presented by United Healthcare to be staged at the Woodlands CC in Texas from Fri 1 to Sun 3 May 2015, for more information about the tournament please visit www.insperityinvitational.com

The AST wish to thank and recognise the following sponsors without who it would not be possible for the AST to once again stage the AST Players Championship 2014 / 2015 US Champions Tour Qualifier event and send their leading golfer to participate in the 2015 Insperity Invitational.

The professional field is now full and entries are closed for the ASM Straits Cup 2015 - AST Players Championship 2014 / US Champions Tour Qualifier event to be staged from Fri 6 to Tue 10 March 2015 in Indonesia (Batam), with only additional spaces set aside for successful Q School participants -

Priority for registration is given to members of the Asian Seniors PGA Tour with the remaining available places in the field then being allocated on a first come first served basis to non-members.

Asian Seniors PGA Tour (AS PGA T) membership 2015 - it costs the following to join –

SG$ 750 @ US$ 575
- for New Members (successful Q School candidates and current members of a recognized PGA)

SG$ 500 @ US$ 385
- for professionals (past members) who have played in previous ASM tournaments
- and or have let their AS PGA T memberships lapse

SG$ 350 @ US$ 270
- for professionals who were members in 2014 to renew their AS PGA Tour membership for 2015

Modestly and fair priced all inclusive (Single Occupancy and or Twin Sharing) Play & Stay packages are offered to both the professional and amateur golfers wishing to participate in our AST / ASM events which include tournament entry fees, hotel accommodation, golf, on course refreshments, local transportation and most meals.

Amateur golfers who might wish to qualify to join the AST but also want to retain their AMATEUR STATUS can do so by signing a waiver with the AST to forgo prize money and play only for ranking points - these AST AMATEUR professional golfers will still qualify for the highly discounted AST professional play & stay packages.
