Current Australian Senior PGA Champion John Clifford from Newcastle birdied the final hole of the 2004 Qld Senior PGA Championship to force a play-off with Randall Vines who led throughout the final round.
The first play-off hole saw Vines in trouble after he hit his tee shot left, while Clifford made a successful par to win his first Qld Senior PGA title. Sixty Seven Senior Professional’s from across Australia and New Zealand played in the Redland Bay event, including twelve 60 years plus Senior Professional’s and two 70 years plus Senior Professional’s.
The course was presented in excellent condition with the Senior Professional’s and sponsors all enjoying the quality golfing experience.

Vines still wins Living Choice Series
Randall Vines has held off John Clifford to win the 2004 Qld Senior Tour by one shot. Vines collected the series prize of $2,000.00 after 13 rounds of tournament play. There were 7 different leaders wearing the yellow jacket over the course of the 3 week Tour and a relieved Vines was very happy with the final outcome. Living Choice CEO Kim Teudt congratulated Vines and was thrilled with the success of the Qld Senior Tour, stating “The Qld PGA Team made Living Choice feel very welcome and look forward to the continued relationship. The Senior Pros and events are a perfect mix for the Living Choice Retirement Home product.”
The Qld PGA Team will be working on the 2005 Tour over the coming month and look forward to assisting the National PGA Team in staging the 2004 Titanium Enterprises Australian PGA Seniors Championship at Club Pelican on the Sunshine Coast from 14-17 October.
