Scott was up against some of the best players from Austral-Asia as he went into the final day lying in 5th place 5 strokes behind the leaders, however his amazing 67 gross 5 under helped him to force a play off with Mike Zilko (Australia)
Scott managed to hold Mike to a 3 hole play off that was staged on the 10th, 11th and 18th holes, despite starting off with a bogey against Mike's par.
Scott's eagle on the 11th brought him squarely back into the game not withstanding Mike's birdy...
The 18th saw both players return par, with Scott having to play from inside the tree line after a wayward drive which pulled to the right
There after it was down to sudden death and back they went to the 18th, Scott pushed his drive out right and again found himself having to play from inside the tree line.
Unfortunately for Mike despite a steady drive onto the fairway, he pulled his 2nd shot and found himself left and above the green with a bunker between his ball and the pin and the green sloping away, his chip onto the green ran long and left him with an awkward return putt and with a 2 putt he carded a bogey 5 which opened the door for Scott.
Scott some how managed an amazing 2nd shot from the trees to land his ball squarely on the green to putt out for par securing him victory at the 9th ASM @ Indonesia (Batam) 2017 his first Championship title since returning to professional golf 6 years ago.
