Asian Seniors Tour Tournament Director, Matthew Murray and Tour Communications Assistant, Ms Cynthia Chan, had the pleasure of visiting English golfing legend and World Golf Hall of Fame Inductee Mr Tony Jacklin at home in Bradenton near Tampa in Florida.
Tony and his lovely wife Astrid welcomed Matthew & Cynthia after their drive up from the TPC in Jacksonville. Tony was pleasantly surprised when Matthew presented Tony with a putter that was misplaced on a visit to Singapore in the 1960's which he had been able to retrieve.
Tony is working on an exciting new golf project with Jack Nicklaus, The Concession Golf & Country Club.
When completed, the Concession Golf Club will be only the second private golf club in the Sarasota-Manatee area.
The Asian Seniors Tour wishes Tony well with this project and look forward to having him compete in an Asian Seniors Tour event in the not to distant future.
Tony also showed us some of his magnificent hand made golf classics in marquetry. These pieces are unique a copies are unable to be made.
