2008 Asian Senior Master - Malaysia Series

The 2008 ASM @ Malaysia - Palm Garden - professional tournament will be staged from Fri 17th - Sun 19th October 2008 at the Palm Garden Golf Club

The ASM Pro-Ams are staged over 3 days - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday prior to the ASM Professional tournament, conducted from 32 flight shotgun starts. ASM Pro-Ams are staged in 4 ball flights / teams and each flight will have a Senior PGA Pro as captain and include 3 amateur golfers.

The ASM Amateur Pro-Am Qualifier will be staged on Monday 13 Oct at 1pm and conducted from a 32 flight shotgun start, the event is played OFF THE STICK and the top 9 "best gross" scoring participants will secure places in the ASM Pro-Am on Thursday.

Amateur Pro-Am Qualifier entry fees including buggy & F& B are;
A 4 ball flight in the ASM - Amateur Pro-Am Qualifier costs
RM 1,838 @ SGD$ 800 @ US$ 500
Individual entries cost RM 500 @ SGD$ 218 @ US$ 138

The ASM @ Malaysia Pro-Ams and the ASM Amateur Pro-Am Qualifier events are open to male and female participants who must be at least 12 years of age and posses valid golf handicaps

All participants in ASM Pro-Ams and both the ASM Amateur Pro-Am Qualifier event are invited to attend the ASM Welcome Cocktail Reception to be held on Wednesday commencing at 7.30pm @ the Official Hotel.

Once again Asia's leading amateur golfers will be able to participate in the ASM Pro-Ams, with the top 9 best gross scoring participants from each Pro-Am securing places in the 2008 ASM Amateur Semi Finals staged on Friday and Saturday in conjunction with the first 2 days of the ASM Pro Tournament

The 2008 ASM Amateur Semi Finals are to be played in a 4 ball format 3 Senior Professional & 1 Amateur golfer, from a two Tee start and will feature 35 four ball flights on the ASM tournament golf course, allowing the best gross scoring amateur golfers to compete head to head with participating Senior PGA Professional golfers under real tournament conditions.

The top 3 best gross scoring participants from each of the ASM Amateur Semi Finals will contest the ASM Amateur Finals on Sunday T-ing Off prior to the final day of the ASM Pro Tournament.

As was the case at the 2006 ASM @ Malaysia any and all ties in both the Amateur Finals and the ASM Professional Tournament will be determined by a sudden death play off.
